With the Site Management Console service, there are several hosting options that you can choose from that will accommodate your needs.  While all options guarantee 99.9% uptime, some web sites require increased security and performance.

Budget

The Budget hosting was created for the low end web site where performance, security, and uptime are not critical.  SMC access is restricted for Budget hosting.

Shared Basic

The Shared Basic hosting option accounts for 85% of the SMC subscriptions.  This basic hosting option provides sufficient performance and has the essential security standards in place to accommodate a majority of the SMC subscriber needs.

Shared Performance

The Shared Performance hosting was designed for the web site that requires increased performance, but isn't ready to make the move to a dedicated server.  With Shared Performance you are still sharing server resources with other sites, but there will never be more than 5 SMCs on this server at any time.

For those that require the latest in security in addition to increased performance, the Shared Secure hosting is the solution.  As with the Shared Performance, SMCs on this plan will never have to share server resources with more than 5 sites.  The Shared Secure option is equipped with an Intrusion Detection System that will constantly monitor and report all activity on the server.
